The Korean Nonprofit & Philanthropy Researchers Network (KNPRN) is a U.S.-based Korean scholarly and practitioner association dedicated to nonprofit, philanthropy, and civil society studies. The network brings together Korean and non-Korean scholars and practitioners interested in Korean-related topics, as well as individuals based both in the United States and internationally.
Founded in 2008, KNPRN is the first interdisciplinary association specifically established for Korean scholars and practitioners in the United States with a focus on nonprofit, philanthropic, and civil society studies.
Around 2020, the network has expanded its membership to include non-Korean scholars and practitioners interested in Korean-related issues, as well as individuals based outside the United States. Its areas of interest include nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, civil society, accountability, social entrepreneurship, management and leadership, volunteering, and a wide range of related issues.
